If you are living with cancer, complementary therapies can be highly beneficial. There are benefits if you are or are not being treated for cancer or have finished your treatment.
Complementary therapies are not a substitute for traditional medicine. They cannot cure cancer and should only ever be used alongside conventional medicine and with the consent of your consultant, oncologist or healthcare team.
Complementary therapies may:
- Help you to relax, reducing feelings of stress and anxiety
- Offer caring, nurturing non-medical touch
- Help you to feel a bit better, improving your quality of life
- Enable restful sleep
- Help you to cope better with some of the symptoms of your cancer or your cancer treatment
I am a Professional Hypnotherapist and Holistic Therapist, working in Copmanthorpe, York. Qualified since 2005, I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and I am a registered practitioner on the General Hypnotherapy Register.
I have training and several years of experience in offering complementary therapies to people with cancer. I have volunteered regularly as a Complementary Therapist at my local hospice for over four years so I can adapt treatments to suit people with serious health conditions. If you would like further information, or to discuss your needs please contact me for a no-obligation chat. We can discuss and agree individually suitable treatments and prices, based on the treatments and prices listed throughout my web site.
